The Department of Theology and Religious Education of De La Salle University in Manila, the Philosophy and Religion Department of the University of Saint La Salle in Bacolod, and the Religious Educators Association of the Philippines (REAP), Inc. are inviting you to attend the 12th National Conference on Catechesis and Religious Education (NCCRE). The conference will be held in person from June 21 to 22, 2024, at the University of Saint La Salle, Bacolod, Negros Occidental, and will focus on the theme: Research in Religious Education and Theology: Issues, Trends, and Developments. The conference will have three distinguished plenary speakers:
1. Professor Dr. Raymund C. Sison, De La Salle University, Manila
2. Professor Dr. Melvin A. Jabar, De La Salle University, Manila
3. Reverend Monsignor Ronaldo S. Quijano, SThD, Vicar General of the Diocese of Bacolod
To guide participants in conducting scientific research in Religious Education and Theology, a research clinic session will be held with the mentorship of two esteemed professors:
1. Prof. Dr. Rito V. Baring, De La Salle University, Manila
2. Prof. Dr. Jeramie N. Molino, Saint Louis University, Baguio City
To inspire participants on how to conduct research effectively in Religious Education and Theology, three researchers will share their best practices:
1. Dr. Bonnadelbert A. Antonio, Holy Angel University, Pampanga
2. Mr. Rafael F. Fernando, MA, De La Salle University, Manila, and the University of Santo Tomas, Manila
3. Ms. Ma. Charlene A. Pilapil, MA, De La Salle University Integrated School
Around 50 quality research papers will be presented during the parallel sessions.
Additionally, the Religious Educators Association of the Philippines (REAP), Inc. will hold its General Assembly during the event. The conference is open to all interested participants but will primarily be attended by catechists, theologians, and religious/values educators.
